Thanks for the birthday wishes, y'all!
On a less happy note, I had to have a parent/student/principal conference with one of my children today, after said child would not do as said child's teacher asked said child to do.
Anyone want to guess which child it was??

The choices are:
12 Year old son - 6th grade.
9 year old daughter - 4th grade
6 year old daugher - kindergarten.
Which is the troublemaker??
Hey! Happy belated, fellow February birthday person!
Alex, what is the 12-year-old?
I'm sorry Cyg, that is NOT the answer.
Yes, it would be the 9 year old. Her teacher phoned me saying she would not do as he asked. She'd been told to go to the next classroom, to finish her test. She said no. (the next classroom is a teacher's she does not like.. another story!!) So, I went over and checked her out of school and brought her home. I put her to work pulling weeds in the back yard. I had to go back to the school to do Art Masterpiece and she followed me. I met with the principal, and discussed my concerns about her teacher.
A grade 4 teacher needs to have some boundaries.. he really tries to be their friend, playing all the time. But.. they really need guidelines, and discipline.
Sheesh.
I'd feel like the student at those conferences. I hated them.
Thing is.. I don't remember EVAH..!! having to do one when I was a kid...
