Well, I did kiss my husband then,
but we were in the midst of a rousing game of Phase 10!
This was the continuation of a game we started with the kids on Sunday!
Mark insisted we finish it - and we didn't get to bed until after TWO!
Mallory was even a trooper and stayed up!
Needless to say, my internal time clock won't let me sleep later than about 7:30!
So, I've been scanning in photos from college all morning!
However, I commit to playing more games with my family this year!
And, just for posterity's sake,
and to embarrass my teenager,
here are some pics of us last night!
Mallory had a wreck on her bike earlier in the day, so she has quite the fat lip! Poor kid!

How fun!!!!! Games are one of my favorite things to do with the kids...
We had quite the showing of fireworks in our hood I thought...more than the usual.
Poor Mallory...feel better sugar.
And if what we're doing at midnight is any indicator of our year...well it will be a sad one for sure...everybody here {at least the one's that were home, were sound asleep} and I sat and watched the countdown and even counted it out loud so someone would hear me...haha...then went outside and checked out the fireworks...sooooo I'm not sure what that means...hmmmmmm...possibly another GREAT year...note the sarcasm?

Happy New Year! The kids were out; Jacob and I played a marathon game of Monopoly and watched Psych. It was a great New Year's Eve! Love the pics.
Laura - Psych is one of our favorite shows! I usually have to watch from the DVR because those late night shows make me sleepy!
I just found you on Kayola's blog --- because I'm not very good at this! I only look at my kids' blogs, Kayola's and a few others. Never looked at the side of "Fat and Sassy's" to see other names though!! It was so fun to see all of our old neighbors and friends before Christmas. I think of you all often and miss Emelita Ave sooo much! I hope Christmas was everything you wanted and more! Happy New Year!

I love Phase 10. I love all card games though! We were at our neighbors playing cards until 2:00AM. We've stayed up too late this holiday season, but we've had a lot of fun. Have a great 2009.
I guess that we will be sleeping all year long! We are so boring for New Year's. I think since I have been married we have only stayed up twice. Maybe when the kids get older and actually can hack staying up that late we will repent of our ways.
Way to bring in the new year. We love games. I think back to some of our most fun family memories... and they were games with my family.
